Tennant Refuses To Rule Out Doctor Who Return
Just a week ago we were all talking about how David Tennant is still America’s favourite Timelord (and ours too according to OTB readers) and now we’re hearing that he might be making a return to the show!
With the cult sci-fi programme celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2013, a number of ex-stars are rumoured to be returning and as the most recent Doctor, Tennant is a prime suspect for a cameo, yet he wouldn’t give anything away on TV last night.
“I cannot be drawn on anything,” he said. “Who knows what will happen next year? I’m sure there are lots of plans being discussed. I am not confirming nor denying anything.”
We’ve already heard about how Richard E Grant (technically a former Doctor) will be returning as a villain in this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special and Matt Smith has also been talking Christopher Eccleston up recently too.
Eccleston occupied the TARDIS before Tennant and Smith explained that he was a big fan..
“Who knows? I’d love it. I’d love him to come back,” he said. “I love his Doctor. I really do. He was from Manchester. Proper hard. Leather jacket. He’d give my Doctor a bit of a whopping, wouldn’t he?”
More to follow in the coming weeks..
