Royal party-animal Prince Harry is set to appear on the first ever episode of Jonathan Ross’s new ITV chatshow, according to reports.

If the interview goes ahead, Ross will be expected to steer clear of Harry’s relationship with Chelsy Davy and his infamous Nazi costume as well as refraining from his usually vulgar language.

The royal will also be the only guest to appear on the episode which will be appearing on British screens at some point before Christmas.

“Clearly Jonathan is very excited about this. He knows what’s at stake here. The first show is going to be very special,” a source told British The Daily Star.

“Prince Harry will be the only guest. There was no way we were having him play second fiddle to a television celebrity.”

The news comes three years after Ross was vilified by The Daily Mail for offensive remarks he made about the prince when interviewing Fearne Cotton.

Ross indictaed that he though Harry fancied the presenter as he discussed a photo of an event with her: “Looking at the way they talk to you I can see they find you attractive. They are not making much eye contact, look at the body language.

“Wills is looking down very embarrassed and Harry is virtually t****** himself off. I’m sorry I shouldn’t say that I should say t****** oneself off…There goes the Knighthood!”
