Road Safety Ad Scoops ‘Oscar’

There have been some rather abrupt road safety adverts down the years, but the latest one from the Sussex Road Safety Partnership has won an advertising ‘Oscar’ with a very different approach. The emotive 90 second ad was made for just £47,000 and reportedly brought some traffic officers to tears when they saw it for the first time. If that wasn’t enough acclaim for the makers, they managed to beat off competition from Nike, VW and Chanel to take a Gold World Medal at the New York Festival International Advertising Awards, becoming a YouTube hit along the way…
