The new series of Doctor Who hasn’t even finished yet and already the PR bods at BBC centre are working feverishly to build some hype ahead of next year’s third series of Being Human.

Not that they need to, when series two ended with a reanimated Herrick and Annie trapped in some sort of purgatory leaving her mates to slum it in Wales of all places, we were all on tenterhooks.

But the Beeb have already started dropping a few hints about the upcoming series which is due to air in January of 2011, and by far the most exciting snippet is the fact that EastEnders Lacey Turner (Stace) will be given a role in the show.

Turner will be playing a person (who will no doubt be carrying some rather mysterious monstery baggage) called Lia, who Mitchell (hippy vampire seen on the left here with Lacey) meets in purgatory as he goes to rescue Annie. Which all sounds rather tantalising.

“It was fantastic working on Being Human, I had some great scenes with Aidan Turner, especially when his character Mitchell is facing up to some of the things he has done in the past,” said Lacey. “The cast and crew were really welcoming and I can’t wait to watch how the story comes together on screen when the series airs.”
