BGT: Chloe ‘Inconsolable’ After Being Axed
Chloe Hickinbottom burst into tears after what many have described as a ‘shock’ exit from Britain’s Got Talent in last night’s semi-final. Despite heaps of praise from the judges, the moderately talented youngster failed to make even the vote-off after her performance of Moon River.
However the public chose impressionist Paul Burling as their outright winner with singing accountant Christopher Stone claiming the second place in Saturday’s final after beating urban dance act Peridot in the judge’s final vote-off.
Audience members reported seeing poor little Chloe becoming very distressed as the results were announced despite – or possibly due to – Ant McPartlin’s words of comfort. A stunned Piers Morgan said “it’s a night of shocks!”
It certainly was. Dance act Peridot confessed to being upset after Morgan and Holden compared them to last year’s winners Diversity. As a person who has become famous for marrying old blokes and having affairs, we’re not sure what gives Holden the right to pass judgement on anyone else, but oh well.
The Arrangement and Irish dancer Jimmy Ford also bowed out last night.
