According to reports from Digital Spy, BBC Three will premiere three of its new shows online a week before they’re broadcast on TV.

The new shows are titled Pulse, Dappers and Stanley Park and show that BBC Three are the forward thinking channel by getting a headstart on online TV.

Pulse will follow Little Dorrit’s Claire Foy as she resumes medical training after the death of her mother, but upon her return to the hospital she begins to notice strange goings on.

Dappers is a comedy about single mothers and will star Being Human’s resident ghost with the most Lenora Crichlow. Finally, Stanley Park is a comedy set in a London suburb and follows a group of friends, starring Pulling and Free Agents star Sharon Horgan.

Danny Cohen, controller of BBC Three, said: “We want to keep experimenting with the relationship between the web and TV, and these pilots provide a great opportunity to get the BBC Three audience discussing our programmes and helping to plan our future.”

That’s all well and good but will anyone be tuning in? TV on the Internet is still shakey ground with a lot of piracy problems and with so much choice out there, will anyone be watching?
