New Strictly Judges – Lewinsky? Posh Spice? Winehouse?
Strictly Come Dancing bosses have decided to go all-out in their annual battle with Simon Cowell’s one-hit-wonder machine next autumn by announcing plans to sign a host of stars to appear as judges on the show.
“It’s no secret last year’s line-up was pretty rubbish and viewers weren’t happy,” said one Strictly Come Dancing insider yesterday. “This year we’re going for much bigger names. We’ve got more money to spend as things like Jonathan Ross’s expensive contract have come to an end.” Miaow!
Victoria Beckham and Amy Winehouse are at the top of the Beeb’s wishlist and they are also targeting ex-US President Bill Clinton’s daughter Chelsea and his former White House lover Monica Lewinsky, in what would be an unbelievable double swoop.
Girls Aloud singing star Kimberley Walsh and Holby City actress Patsy Kensit are other top names bosses are trying to start negotiations with and they are also considering an invitation to Lembit Opik, the oddball ex-Lib Dem MP and Cheeky Girl fan.
The show will be kicking off in September and will be running for 12 weeks.
