In dramatic scenes from Coronation Street, to be screened later in the year, emotions are flaring up as cab driver Lloyd has to come to the aid of the love of his life – stripper Cheryl.

Lloyd – played by Chris Charles – tries to free Cheryl from her lap dancing career spurred on by his enduring love but ends up at the ring end of a bouncer’s fist. Following this botched attempt to clutch her from the sex-industry another confrontation soon kicks off when Chris – Cheryl’s violent lover – shows up on the scene.
Lloyd intervenes and heroically stands up to him before bundling Cheryl and her son into his cab and driving off into the distance.

Chris takes off in pursuit, apoplectic at the sight of his ‘lover’ being rescued from consuming any more of his knuckle sandwiches.

This is by no means the end of the story so Corrie fans will have to agonise over what happens until later in the year when the episode will be screened.
