Blumenthal Blasted For Titanic Feast

Telly chef Heston Blumenthal has been criticized after basing a feast on the sinking of the Titanic.

In his new series the celebrity chef has created meals around themes including Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and Fairytales.

The 43-year-old, best known for his use of liquid nitrogen in dishes, serves up dishes based on the tragedy in Heston’s Titanic Feast which airs tomorrow night on Channel 4 at 9pm (ALERT ME). The programme’s blurb says that: “Heston wants to put on a feast that captures the Edwardian sense of adventure: the greatest feast never eaten: the last meal on the Titanic.?

Dot Kendle, of Southampton, whose mum survived the tragedy, told the Daily Star: “My mother watched people jump into the water. Their screams lived with her forever.?

Here’s hoping there’s no Iceberg lettuce on the menu…
