This Year’s Apprentice May Be Cancelled

Fans of The Apprentice will be gutted to learn that this year’s series may be cancelled if there is a hung parliament.

The reality show has already been put back to November because of Suralan’s involvement with the Labour government. It was judged that running the series in the spring would be giving unfair publicity to one party during the upcoming election campaign and a hung parliament would scupper the programme further.

According to some polls, a coalition government is quite likely after the Spring election and in those circumstances another election would most likely be called for later in the year.

A show source told The Sun: “The Apprentice lasts for three months so it will prove very hard to find a slot for it this year if there is a hung Parliament.”
