It seems that after working for the most hilariously poor manager in the history of the paper industry, Martin Freeman is picking his bosses a little more carefully these days.

The Office star has been seen wandering around London in Dr Watson garb this week, as filming for a modern BBC adaptation of Sherlock Holmes got under way.

The one-off drama which has been written by Dr Who exectutive producer Steven Moffat, will aim to put a 21st century slant on the stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

The part of Sherlock Holmes will be played by Atonement star Benedict Cumberbatch and it is due to be aired laster this year.

He will of course, be trying to emulate Jude Law’s performance as the sleuth’s sidekick in Guy Ritchie’s blockbuster.
