EastEnders Live: Silent Tracey At 5/1 To Be Archie’s Killer

It would be a bigger surprise than Alex Reid’s Celebrity Big Brother victory, but silent barmaid Tracey has entered the frame Archie’s murder today.

After a surge of betting bookies have slashed her odds from 200/1 to 5/1, despite the fact that she seems to be one of the few people in The Square to have no motive for the killing.

Despite quitting The Vic after a row with Janine Butcher on the night in question, some fans reckon she could have returned, witnessed the row and killed Archie in self-defence or to protect a Mitchell.

She joins other cast members including Stacey Slater (4/1), Jack Branning (7/1) and Peggy Mitchell (12/1) in the running for tomorrow night’s climactic episode.

“I wouldn’t think she is that dark but who knows, she could be. There are odds at the bookies to be had for her, but why?” said Jane Slaughter who has played Tracey for 25 years.

David Williams of Ladbrokes told The Sun: “She wasn’t even on our list when we first drew it up. Even Dot was a more likely criminal. When punters phoned up to back Tracey we thought April Fool’s had come early.”

“Tracey’s been a wallflower for years. But if the massive gamble is true, she’ll be remembered as one of the soap’s most unlikely villains and it’ll cost bookies a fortune.”
