3.5DANCE300SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE FINAL: Saturday 13th February, BBC1, 7.45pm ALERT ME

As one dancing competition gets underway, another is coming to an end. It is what Mufasa would call ‘The great circle of life’.

If your anything like us, then there’s a good chance that you will have lost count of dancing reality shows on television at the moment. Literally.

Let us refresh your celebrity-addled memories. This is the one where normal people who think they have ‘what it takes’ throw some shapes in front of acid-tongued Nigel Lythgoe, Strictly reject Arlene Phillips and Thomas Cook spokesperson Louise Redknapp.

After a pulsating semi-final last weekend, this Saturday will see the climactic finale, in which the three remaining contestants (Robbie White has pulled out after dislocating his shoulder) will vie for the crown as British champion, £100,000 and the chance to appear on the American version of the show in Hollywood.

But you knew that already…

If all that plus the prospect of a jubulaint Cat Deeley isn’t enough to get you excited, then perhaps an appearance from fading superstar Robbie Williams will.

That’s if the singer can stop pining for Gary Barlow long enough to perform his new single, Morning Sun. (We hadn’t heard of it either…)
