ArleneArlene Phillips has said that she’s delighted to be reunited with her Strictly Come Dancing colleagues to the show’s live tour.

She was replaced by Alesha Dixon in the dance contest’s TV incarnation which led to the BBC coming under fire for alleged ageism after six series with the talent contest.

Phillips will rejoin Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman and Bruno Tolioni for the arena dates which began last Friday.

The Mirror reported that she told the Manchester Evening News Arena audience , “I’m ecstatic to be back.?

Horwood quipped, “The fab four are back!”

Goodman joked, “It’s good to be sitting next to Arlene again. It’s like reigniting an old flame… I tried that with my first wife and it didn’t work.”

Phillips responded, “This will, believe me.”

Phillips has previously stated that she will never return to the Strictly TV show.
