arleneFormer Strictly judge Arlene Phillips has claimed that she’s not interested in returning to the show next year.

She was controversially replaced by Alesha Dixon after six series of the contest which led to the BBC being criticised for alleged ageism and sexism, something the BBC strongly denied.

Speaking to Hello Magazine, Phillips said, “I never even entertain that question. It’s something that’ll never happen. I don’t even think about it.”

Sounds like she’s still a little bit sore; who wouldn’t be?

Phillips will be appearing alongside her old judges in the upcoming live tour however and she remarked,”It’s the perfect way to say, ‘Hi, I’m here and thank you for your support’. I’ve always been passionate about Strictly.”

She will appear alongside Nigel Lythgoe in the new series of So You Think You Can Dance.
