Strictly Come Dancing: We All Pay For Stars Posh Lunch
Licence fee payers have got used to footing huge food bills in recent years – but on this occasion it’s isn’t Chris Moyles that has been guzzling the public’s cash, but Bruce Forsyth and his dancing pals.
The BBC treated the stars of it’s flagship Saturday night show Strictly Come Dancing to a posh £70-a-head meal at a celebration lunch for the programme’s bosses and stars.
Personally we think they should have been sent to KFC.
Judges Bruno Tonioli, Len Goodman and Alesha Dixon joined host Bruce Forsyth for a slap-up meal at celeb London hangout The Ivy.
An onlooker told The Sun: “Things are clearly good between the judges. They had a huge table in the middle of the room – it was obvious there was a party going on.
“Alesha and Bruno especially were very touchy-feely and giggly. Bruce was quite sombre but Bruno kept waving his arms around.”
A BBC spokeswoman said: “Judges and presenters work really hard all year. This was a thank you.”
So there is such a thing as a free lunch…
