susan-boyleITV have announced plans to air a Susan Boyle special next month – it was set to be a dramatisation, but Ronny Corbett was unable to play the Scottish singer.

The show will also go out on the TV Guide channel the US.

Instead, friends and celebrity fans will be interviewed for I Dreamed A Dream – The Susan Boyle Story, which will see the BGT star celebrate her love of music and feature tracks from her debut album.

Simon Cowell – whose company SyCo TV is behind the special – will be one of the contributors. But we’re just looking forward to hearing from the poor person responsible for trimming those eyebrows…

TV Guide’s president Ryan O’Hara said: “For the first time ever, fans will have an opportunity to see Susan Boyle shine on stage in her own spotlight, witness amazing musical performances in a concert setting, as well as gain insight into the challenges she overcame as she rose to an international phenomenon.”

The special is scheduled to be broadcast on Sunday 13th December.

Debbie says:

The tv guide channel is not offered where I live by any cable company (and I live in a major US city). One would think that Simon Cowell would broadcast the show on a US channel that is AVAILABLE to US citizens. What an idiot. Pretty dumb to try to promote Susan Boyle by making her US fans constantly have to jump through hoops to be able to see her. That is getting old fast. Cowell needs to wise up or go back across the pond for good. I’m sick of his cocky greed.
