danylJust one week after being forced to sing to stay in the competition, last night it was revealed that Danyl Johnson WON the public vote on Sunday.

Don’t get too excited though, because the troublesome twins still managed to scoop second place.

According to The Sun, Simon Cowell’s boy bagged a whopping 35 per cent of the vote.

If anything, these results seem to indicate that this year’s competition is as unpredictable as a particularly moody teenager – which is fitting.

Essex lad Olly Murs came third and Welsh teen Lucie Jones fourth, with Jamie Archer and Stacey Soloman following in fifth and sixth.

Joe McElderry pipped the young heart-throb Lloyd to avoid the sing-off.

These results emerged after a phoneline which allows fans to vote free if they listen to an ad was collated. Experts say the 10,000 votes cast give a clear picture of overall patterns.
