aaaWe haven’t even reached Halloween yet and already the tussle for top spot on Saturday night TV is becoming frantic.

Of course, we all know that X Factor will win, but don’t tell the BBC that – it’s starting to get interesting.

But bosses at the beeb have pulled off a major coup by signing the Bee Gees for their first live performance since the death of Maurice Gibb in 2003.

Surviving brothers Robin and Barry will sing ‘You Should Be Dancing’ on the 31st of October, (which now we think of it, is Halloween.)

A source at TV Biz said: “”The rivalry between the two shows is fiercer than ever this year. There’s no way they’re going to share acts. If you’re on Strictly you can’t be on X Factor and vice-versa.?

X Factor is set to triumph this weekend as superstar Whitney Houston appears on the show this Sunday, and ITV bosses are reported to be trying to confirm a booking with Madonna for later in the series.

However Strictly have already signed Mariah Carey.

The ratings race is on!
