Arlene Phillips Returns As Dance Judge On Strictly Rival

If you’ve been watching Living or Trouble then you may have seen an awesome talent show called So You Think You Can Dance.

It’s an American show presented by Cat Deeley and run by Nigel Lythgoe. So with a British host and creator, why have we had to wait to get a UK version of this show?

Despite being putting in the slow class of televisual transfers, we are pleased with this news as it’s a good excuse to watch hotties dancing around in lyrca. Don’t judge us.

Dancers will audition for a panel of judges and will then be eliminated gradually via public votes. While the complete panel has not been announced we do know that Lythgoe himself will be acting as head judge and Arlene Phillips will be also be passing judgement.

We’re glad she’s back in the game after being unceremoniously dumped for Alesha Dixon on Strictly Come Dancing and was apparently asked to be a choreographer for the show.

If our version is anything like the US version then the dancing categories will include modern, jazz, hip-hop, salsa and ballet.

No word on if Cat Deeley will present the UK version but we do know that the audition process will begin in October 2009.
