Luckily there’s a Family Guy! Or we wouldn’t be getting Seth MacFarlane’s latest spin-off, The Cleveland Show.

When Cleveland Brown leaves Quahog with his chubby son Cleveland Jr. they wind up Cleveland’s childhood town. He soon hooks up with his high school sweetheart and they start a new family together.

It’s already started in the US but when The Cleveland show does come to the UK, don’t look for it amongst Family Guy episodes on BBC3. This show has been snapped up by E4, which among other things means that there will be ad breaks in each 22 minute long episode.

No word yet on when we’ll see the show but we’ll keep you posted.

Heroes Fighting A Losing Ratings Battle

Well it was good while it lasted. No, Heroes hasn’t been cancelled but we’re counting down the days until it is.

The super powered show has been steadily losing US ratings over its past few episodes and its 2-hour season premiere pulled in disappointing numbers.

Early viewing figures for last night’s episode that aired in America indicate that the fifth episode of the latest season pulled in a meager 5.82m viewers. While House managed to almost double that figure.

Congratulations Heroes creator Tim Kring, you’ve managed to loose your grip on what could have been one of the best shows ever. A tip of the hat to you, sir.

It looks like Heroes is on a slippery slope that leads to cancellation. After their convoluted plotlines and general craziness we think this has been a long time coming.

So now that Heroes has pretty much jumped the shark we’re start looking around for a replacement.

Luckily, Flashforward which pulled in 12.5 million viewers for their US premiere, will be there to cushion us when Heroes finally does get cancelled.

What does Snoop Dogg get up to when he’s not smokin’ blunts and looking after his shizzle? Well according to The Sun he watches Keeping Up Appearances.

“I still watch the show to this day and it makes me laugh so hard. She has to be one of the funniest people on TV?, said the gangsta rapper.

Snoop added that he though that Mrs Bucket – played by the legendary Patricia Routledge – may have a substantial fanbase in the states.

“They still run the show on BBC America so I think that Mrs Bucket must have some sort of cult following in the US?, he added.

It just seems a shame that the beeb aren’t still recording episodes – what a cameo opportunity that would have been!

There’s nothing like a candle-lit supper to sort out those munchies.

X Factor Roundup: Week 6 – Bootcamp

week 6 300x210Yeah, Bootcamp baby!

We survived the auditions; the tears, the dead-relative stories, the pretenders, the shakers and the fakers.

And now the judges have got to whittle down the 200 that they’ve put through to bootcamp to just 24.

Our wannabes were told to perform a song with two other acts to see how they could work as a group and to make the culling process a bit quicker. They’re also put into different rooms and told whether it’s a yes or a no from the judges.

Let’s start with some good news. It Takes 2 and Just Du-et performed with Alesha who admitted that she chose two other singers that were awful to make herself look good. Clever girl. Simon admired her moxy and put her through but it was bye-bye for the deadbeat duos.

The cringe twins John and Edward performed Read More…

HOW TO LOOK GOOD NAKED: Tuesday 29th September, Channel 4, 8pm ALERT ME

For a programme which is essentially nothing more than a gay man telling a middle-aged woman to get naked and cheer up, How To Look Good Naked has achieved some serious kudos in recent years.

Former fat-boy Gok Wan has travelled the country helping women – and some men – to feel more confident when they check themselves out, and the message is a simple one.

You look beautiful just the way you are (you just need to buy some new underwear). Read More…

It has been reported that Heather Mills will take a break from her tireless charity work to appear in the next series of Dancing on Ice.

A show insider said: “She has often been linked with the show, but this year she’s finally decided to do it.?

“She knows she divides people but there’s never a dull moment with her.?

She sure does divide people – from their money.

Paul McCartney’s ex-wife is said to have already teamed up with a professional skater ahead of official rehearsals for the ITV1 show later this year.

Hosted by our old friend Phillip Schofield, the show is due to start early next year and the series will see a few changes from last the last series, including a prime-time Friday night slot as well as a live show on Sunday.

“Whatever people say about her, she’s certainly entertaining?, added the source. “She has been speaking to ITV and in typical Heather fashion, is convinced she will be a huge attraction.?

Friends: The One Where They Make A Movie…

When the final episode of Friends was broadcast almost half a decade ago, some of us breathed a collective sigh of relief – finally it was over.

How foolish we were. For those who couldn’t stand the sitcom, the nightmare was just beginning.

Surely an endless stream of repeats would be enough? Not so – apparently a movie is required.

Better get the fake tan out.

James Michael Tyler, who played Gunther in the series told the News of the World that Friends: The Movie is “definitely on”.

“I still keep in touch with the old gang and they are really keen,” he added. Presumably none more so than Matt Le Blanc, whose ill-fated solo show hit the buffers a couple of years back.

It has also been reported that the programme’s creators David Crane and Marta Kauffmann have agreed to write and produce the film, which could hit cinemas in a couple of years.

“The cast haven’t set the world alight since the show finished”, added a source. “But this film could really relight some of their careers in a big way.”

Oh – my -god.
