Amy Winehouse will reportedly feature as a backing singer on Strictly Come Dancing.

The boozy star will sing alongside her 13-year-old goddaughter Dionne Broomfield at the end of September.

Apparently BBC bosses are desperate to sign up Winehouse after hearing that X Factor producers are close to tying up deals with Robbie Williams and Madonna for the new series.

The show’s organisers were also thought to be delighted at her relatively low appearance fee – and even managed to negotiate her down to a single carton of cigarettes.

A source told the Sunday Mirror: “Obviously everybody’s extremely nervous about the appearance but the teams are confident Amy could make it work, and really do some good for Dionne. She’s promised not to mess it up on the night.?

Adding, “she will do anything to help Dionne become a huge success.? The singer recently revealed that her goddaughter was also her best friend.

Poor girl.
