Giant-collared comic Harry Hill is poised to quit ITV after being offered a £400,000 per episode deal for his show, Saturday night favourite TV Burp.

The sum offered by big bully of the broadcast world Sky is double the current deal – production company Avalon makes the show for ITV1 for just over £200,000 an episode.

If the deal goes ahead, Hill could bag £80,000 to write and present every episode, making him one of Sky’s highest paid stars.

A source close to the star said: “Sky have tried to get Harry twice before and it looks like it could be third time lucky?. He continued: “Sky are telling Harry they’d turn him into one of the faces of the channel.”

Harry Hill’s TV Burp consistently gets up to eight million viewers on Saturday nights. If it goes it will leave a gaping hole, and will be sorely missed.
