Think reality can be a bit invasive? You ain’t seen nothing yet!

Later this month Channel 4 will screen The Operation: Surgery Live, a live action broadcast of surgeons poking around inside the bodies of real patients.

And if that’s a bit to much like Biology class, viewers will also be invited to talk to the surgeons throughout the procedures via Twitter, email and phone.

Over four days surgeons from NHS hospitals including Papworth, Southampton General, Addenbrooke’s and King’s College Hospital, London will routinely expose the inner most recesses of people’s insides for the edification and entertainment of the nation.

We’ll just have to wait and see if doctors will comply with our requests for a puppet show with the unwitting infirm – Weekend at Bernies 3?
