Michael Jackson has a lot to answer for – the death of Macaulay Culkin’s career, the alleged paedophile epidemic, not to mention the whole ” Black or White” debacle.

If it really didn’t matter what skin colour his baby was – why was he so determined to mangle his own, perfectly normal, Afro-Carribean face? As a result, we can now apparently we can add ‘brainwashing a generation’ to the list.

It turns out the BBC are looking to expose the historical and cultural reasons behind the “white = right  fallacy”.

Anita Rani from The One Show will present, researching the different products, companies and consumers that boost this shocking market. She looks into the damage caused by misguided beliefs in Asian culture, as pale children are revered and praised, even being forced to drink milk, cover themselves in skin lightening cream and kept out of the sunshine to maintain their pasty glow.
