And The BAFTA Winner Is…

It’s Bafta TV Awards time again, and the nominations have been announced for 2009, the ceremony for which is scheduled for late April. Although, I must say I’m shocked and appalled at the lack of nominations for Hollyoaks. Chester’s finest deserve praise too, no matter what anyone says.

There are acting nominations for David Mitchell, Rob Brydon and Maxine Peake. As well as these, we’re sure that chants of “Fight!? will be yelled as Harry Hill and Jonathan Ross go head-to-head for Best Entertainment performance; will Sachsgate come back to haunt Wossy on this one?

Best of all, my favourite bleak zombie-apocalypse drama, Dead Set, is up for an award. Created by the acerbic Charlie Brooker, the show combines the world of the flesh eating undead with the Big Brother brain-dead in the perfect gruesome gorefest.

Certain to make you crumple with adoration in a Wayne’s World “we’re not worthy” fashion.
