“Dollhouse” is up and…limping
Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon’s new project premiered on Friday night in America on the FOX network. Starring Eliza Dushku (Faith from Buffy) as one of a number of “dolls” whose minds are blank slates upon which emotions and thoughts can be impressed, Dollhouse was pretty highly anticipated in the OntheBox office, at least – but then, we are all massive Buffy fans.
However, it doesn’t seem to have been quite as appealing to the American viewing public. Dollhouse pulled in the second lowest premiere ratings for a drama this year, only beating ill-fated flop Crusoe. Even Supernanny surpassed Whedon’s newest brainchild in terms of watchers.
We’re staying loyal, though – Joss will always hold a special place in our hearts.
